Dak Galbi...One Last Time

In between classes I got together with a few of my co-workers for a quick dinner. We went to the Dak Galbi restaurant and just talked about our different experiences in Korea. Coincidentally, this is Alex's last weekend here in Korea. He is scheduled to return back to the States next week. It has truly been a pleasure working with Alex. We even got our meal paid for, so this was definitely a great way to remember the Dak Galbi restaurant....ONE LAST TIME!

The Bird Flying Tea Shop

Tonight for dinner I had one of my favorite dishes...Raboki (I know I killed the spelling of that dish) It is a combination of Ramen, Dak, and Odang. Along with Raboki you get several side dishes.

Got Beef?

Well, with the mad cow scare here in Korea and all of the outrage about beef...I couldn't resist going out to get some "beef bulgogi" (beef)...and I must say that it sure was good...

We were out doing a little shopping after dinner and I turned around and saw this...it was a perfect! I had to buy it...and it even had a little bling bling...

Pizza School

Today, was one of those where you just want to chill and watch movies all day and I did just that. I was real tired from the work week and didn't wake up until 1pm...argh (I ended up missing church :( Working 6 days a week takes a toll on you and you don't realize how much sleep you don't get until you get it...It was much needed rest and glad that I had the whole day off and was able to chill out and relax. I was thinking today that I really don't have a interest in doing anything, but just chillin' during my free time because I rarely get it. So, that is how I will be spending my Sundays just going to church, going for a walk, and coming how to relax and watch movies...Anywho, I went to Pizza School to get a $5.00 pizza which is really good for $5.00

They Like It Spicy

My co-workers and I having dinner in between classes.


In Korea they like there food spicy! They don't use salt and pepper. This is one of my favorite Korean meals Jyook Dak Bop (spicy pork and rice), but on this particular day and from this particular restaurant they made it too spicy...I have acquired a taste for spicy food here, but this was spicy to the 10th degree.


As you can see it was much more than I could handle, but I could not stop eating it...I had stop and think about it for a second. I will not be ordering from that restaurant again. What was I thinking?
